Development works were carried out on offshore LNG import and export terminals. This paper deals with the last developments and shares the experience acquired with the industry on these offshore terminals.

Gravity Based Structures (GBS): The prismatic concrete structure seems to be the reference design. This design gathers all the functions of the terminal on a single concrete unit. However in order to reduce the cost of this unit, some architectural options were studied and are described in this paper.

Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU): Two floating terminals are highlighted, the first unit is a new built structure with a large capacity, and the second one is a unit based on a LNG carrier conversion with lower capacity.

Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO): The prospects on this unit are long term. The last developments in terms of hull and storage technologies are described. The works undertaken on the structure validated the interest for the hull shape in half cylinders.
