FREMM frigates presentation

Since the beginning of the preliminary design, the most innovative technical solutions were chosen so that FREMM frigates can be endowed the best performances and have a modern combat system.

This article approaches certain important characteristics of FREMM frigates: the platform management system which links the integrated bridge system with the combat system; the transverse performances as vulnerability and susceptibility; the capacities of sensors and weapons to operate with expected performances thanks to whole control of electromagnetic environment; an original architecture of the propeller system and other specific choices.
