Symposium ATMA/EURONAVAL: "Rules and Regulations for naval and merchant ships" - Design process and regulations

In addition to large oil tankers and bulk carriers, other types with higher level of technologic, like chemical carriers, ror-ros, large container carriers, LNG and ferries are built. Therefore more specialised vessels incorporating techniques and equipment that require an ever increasing technical capacity for installation and control.

The project of a vessel is analysed considering the development of the different ideas and commitments to be combined with economical aspects and interests of the companies involved in the business. reminding that the successful of the project will be directly dealing with the grade the co-operation and collaboration between companies together with the Administration and Classification Society.
