Girassol: an example of novel industry approach

The Girassol Project involves the development of an oil field located in Block 17 of the Angola offshore area at a depth of 1,350 m below sea level and about 200 km off the coast of the Luanda Region.

Challenges are multiples, and this project is the perfect illustration of a novel industry approach: The Contractor is able to provide the Operator with various part of the overall project and is, involved since the basic design up to the commissioning.

It is a definite advantage for the project interfaces management and consistencies.
