On resistance characteristics of high speed catamarans

The paper summarizes the results of an experimental work, which intends to compare the resistance characteristics in sti11 water of various types of high speed catamarans.

The results obtained with towing tank model tests in the Froude number Fn= 1.41/2.90 are compared both by ITTC-57 and ITTC- 78 ship-model corre1ation in order to have some indication not on1y on the global resistance interference but also on the viscous and on wave resistance interference.
