Multifunctional composite materials for military naval applications

Composite materials are naturally multifunctional materials which besides the possibility of realizing structures, offer to the concerned product, a technical advantage (weight reduction, corrosion resistance, heat insulation) with regard to a product realized with more traditional, metallic structural materials in particular.

Over time, we passed from a "natural" multifunctionnality to an “elaborated” multifunctionnality leading to complex structure constituting themselves integrated systems.

The communication details this evolution of composite materials leaning on numerous examples, in particular in the military naval domain.
