The report handles experiments carried out on the passenger liners « Île de beauté” and”Liberté” both belonging to the society nationale maritime Corse Méditerannée. The first part deals with the followings topics : applied regulations, fittings of the new sections, choose in shape of hull, result of tank tests and sea trials, stability and structure.

Part two looks at jumboization procedures: balance of the ship sections, constructions of the middle section undocking and transportation of the middle section, lengthening operations.
