Composite material piping systems on board fishing vessel: conditions of use –testing

Due to corrosion on metallic piping systems, the use of composite material for various sea. water circuits on fishing vessel is advantageous to improve safety and reduce maintenance costs.

An account is given of the studies and experiments carried out by a working group in the aim of developing applications of such systems onboard fishing vessels.

The STUDY section covers the rule part and gives some guidance for implementation and installation onboard.

The EXPERIMENT section accounts for the experience gained through fire testing and experimental fit ting onboard a trawler ship.
