Calculation of non conventional configurations for marine propellers by a vortices particles method.

In order to better know the behaviour of a marine propeller in particular configurations. we have tested the potential of a software based on the vortices particles method, elaborated by C-REHBACH. This has been mad as part of a major applied research and development program in the domain as hydroclynamics undertaken by acb for the past years. After a presentation of the method, we detail two applications of this one :

Propeller moving backwards

Controllable pitch propeller during a pitch variation.

Conclusions are then drawn as concern the future utililation of such calculations.
