Economic prospect of container transport by river-maritime line from inland ports

The parts of goods transported by containers and particularly by ships is increasing. In that content the author presents the situation of inland ports and the example of liege port. Facing the competition, essentially the rentability of the transport by river-maritime ships : for many European inland ports, it seems that the best economic solution is assured by the development of a container river-maritime line.
