The report briefly states the evolution of the ships on the french west Indies route during the last twenty years and shows the main characteristics of the recent Multipurpose Refrigerated Containers Ships operated by the Compagnie Generale Maritime.

The refrigeration plant is described and the results of the two first years are explained.
