This memoir first describes the objectives and constraints of this AHCNN project. Its takes up original hull-forms and silhouette of the Cape-Horner cargo ship LOIRE, launched in Nantes (1896), in order to build a new ocean passenger / freight ship, the "LOIRE", for a hundred passengers among which forty handicapped persons. And then, its describes on these basis, ECN studies concerning stability in function of the position and dimensions of the watertight compartments, in respect of SOLAS rules, and, water resistance, calculations and basin trials, so as to install an auxiliary propulsive plant on the "LOIRE".
