Similarity and simulation in aerodynamic

The general equations of fluid mechanics constitute the firm basis enabling us to know which conditions have to be verified to ensure similarity between flight and a test in a wind tunnel. The numerical simulation of flows is now Possible, however with some restrictions, by numerically resolving these equations. The possibilities of simulation and similarity will be presented showing that these two techniques complement one another.
